AREAS OF EXPERIENCE
Young Adults (18-25 years old)
Stress and Anxiety
Childhood Sexual Abuse
My interest in counselling began when I was at a point of change in my own life – I was looking to expand and develop and to understand more about my own needs, strengths and skills. It highlighted to me that personal growth can be both distressing and exciting, and that the level of support that we have around us can be critical in terms of how we might respond. Now as a qualified counsellor, in addition to counselling adults, I also work in an agency with young adults (18-25 years old). I notice just how much change and uncertainty occurs at this stage of life and I see the value that comes in understanding and supporting this.
Alongside my four years of experience in an established Edinburgh agency working with adult clients, I have also spent two years working in an agency counselling survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse, and have participated in multiple trainings focused on understanding and working with trauma.
